Tips and Tricks
If this is your first time working with soft air dry clay, we highly recommend reading our Essential Clay Tips guide to learn the ins and outs of working with soft air dry clay.
Note: we provide you with more clay than you need so don't feel the need to use it all!
-
Step 1
Shape a small ball using the peach clay to make the head. The head should be about the size of a quarter - about 1 inch across. Set aside to allow the ball to dry.
Tip: Stretch and knead the clay to remove wrinkles and unevenness
-
Step 2
Shape a small disc using the yellow clay to make the back of the hair. Place it on the back of the head and gently roll to smoothen the seams.
Tip: Let the head rest for a few minutes to firm upโthis helps avoid misshaping the clay in later steps.
-
Step 3
The eyes are the hardest part of this kit. The girls have very big eyes. To make the eyes, youโll build them in three layers: a blue base, a black pupil, and a tiny white highlight.
You're all done!
Weโd love to see what youโve made. Your feedback helps us grow, and seeing your creations makes our day ๐
